METAMORPHOSIS OF A WAREHOUSE INTO A PLUSH WINE BAR IN MARSAXLOKK, MALTA
From a drab warehouse area into a plush, functional and cosy setting fit for a relaxing night out while savouring the best wines on the island.
A mixture of textures have been utilised to make this place unique in all aspects. The walls have been decorated with ochre Veneziano plaster and ochre slate, accentuated with dark shades in the ceiling using black backgrounds and suspended wooden panels, and dark parquet floors to create contrast. A wood-burning fireplace has been placed in the central area to create the feeling of warmth, reminiscent of wine bar settings.
We chose rattan sofas and ottomans with plush cushions, and rattan tables and armchairs to create an outdoor feel in an indoor setting.
